2026 First Day Hike on CVT

The Friends of the Catharine Valley Trail invite you to join us on New Year's Day at 10am for a hike on the CVT from Fairgrounds Lane to Route 14 and back.

Start your year out with a community hike, some commemorative swag, and a chance to win an EMPIRE pass (which will allow you to use the NY State Parks free all year long). We will also have coffee samples at the start thanks to North NY coffee shop in Montour.

If parking is full on Fairgrounds Lane, please use the Tops Parking Lot as over-flow.

PS - Of course, you can hike as long (or short) as you would like and the North NY coffee shop folks are going to walk all the way to the North NY coffee shop in Montour! Please feel free to join them and support their local business!
