Main Street will be closed from Temple to Spring streets for a night of art, music, food, and fun to kick off the 50th Anniversary of the Common Ground Country Fair! Events are FREE unless otherwise noted.

Stroll Main Street to enjoy music, art, and crafting vendors from the Common Ground Fair, carriage rides, chalk art, hands-on art activities, and more.

At the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, 93 Main Street:

5–7pm Opening Reception for 50 years of Common Ground!
The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) is celebrating the 50th annual Common Ground Country Fair this year with a number of events, including a poster exhibition titled 50 Years of Common Ground, which will be exhibited at Waterville Creates’ Ticonic Gallery + Studios September 4–30. Chalk Art with Waterville Creates! Get creative on the streets! Contribute your own sidewalk masterpiece and see what our local art teachers dream up.

All Day: Half off all concessions (except alcohol) at the Maine Film Center.


At Greene Block + Studios, 18 Main Street:

4–7pm Explore the studios, check out the programming space, and discover free workshops and events coming this academic year. Plus, enjoy music from Elm City Music School.
