Breaking the Silence: Join The Climb for Maternal Mental Health 🫶🏽
Every mother deserves to feel supported during one of life's most transformative journeys. Yet right now, one in five new moms struggles silently with postpartum depression or anxiety. So, MARK YOUR CALENDARS because on June 7th, from 3:00-5:00 PM at the North Street Playground in Waterville, we're changing that story.
The Climb is more than an event—it's a lifeline. When a new mother faces the darkness of postpartum depression, the simple act of asking for help can feel like scaling a mountain. That's why we gather: to show every mom that she doesn't have to make this climb alone.
Our free community celebration honors the strength of mothers who've faced maternal mental health challenges and extends a hand to those still finding their way. Through shared stories and supportive connections, we're building a community where no mother has to hide her struggles or suffer in silence.
While children enjoy arts and crafts, lawn games, and treats from the ice cream truck, mothers can:
🩷Connect with other parents who understand their journey
🩵Receive healing chair massages
💚Access information about local mental health resources
🩷Share their stories in a judgment-free space
The afternoon culminates in our signature walk along the Messalonskee Stream—a gentle path that welcomes strollers and represents every mother's journey toward healing. Each step we take together helps break down the barriers that keep mothers from seeking the support they need.
Did you know that maternal mental health conditions are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth? Yet many mothers suffer in silence, fearing judgment or lacking access to specialized care. Your participation in The Climb helps change this reality by:
⭐️ Raising awareness about maternal mental health
⭐️ Funding specialized training for Maine healthcare providers
⭐️ Creating a supportive community network for local families
Join our mission by becoming a team member (it's free!), sharing our message, or making a donation at

Together, we can ensure that every mother knows she's not alone. Because when mothers thrive, families flourish, and communities grow stronger.
Hope to see you at The Climb.
