Berry Basket Handbuilding Workshop

Class Overview
Craft your own functional art! In this creative, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of clay and perforation techniques to create a custom ceramic berry basket—perfect for rinsing and serving your favorite summer fruits.
We’ll move beyond basic pinch pots and dive into the architecture of clay. You’ll learn how to, use templates for precise shaping, and—the most satisfying part—punch out decorative drainage holes that turn a simple bowl into a professional-grade colander.
What You’ll Learn
Surface Design: Adding texture using stamps, rollers, or hand-carved details.
The Art of Drainage: Techniques for spacing and punching holes that are both functional and aesthetic.
Finishing Touches: Add color and more personality on glazing night.
What’s Included
All professional-grade clay and specialized tools.
A curated selection of studio glazes (we’ll handle the firing and glazing for you!).
Your finished, food-safe berry basket, ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after class.
Note: Pottery is a messy business! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and keep your fingernails trimmed short for the best experience.
