The first 3 classes will be back to back Wednesdays: Aug 26th, Sept 2nd and Sept 9th. The last 3 classes will have a week in between: Sept 23rd, Oct 7th and Oct 21st. This will allow students to have more time to work on their new skills, with the 24hour studio access, but still have the opportunity to troubleshoot with the instructor.

Ever wanted to try your hand at the potter’s wheel? This 6-week immersive session is the perfect place to start. Designed for absolute beginners and those looking to rebuild their foundational skills, we provide a supportive, low-pressure environment to help you go from a raw lump of clay to a finished masterpiece.

What You’ll Learn

We’ll guide you through the entire life cycle of a ceramic piece, focusing on both the meditative process and the technical skills required to create:
Master the Fundamentals: Gain confidence in "wedging" (clay prep) and the all-important art of centering—the rhythmic foundation of all wheel work.

Shape Your Vision: Move beyond the basics as you learn to pull walls and shape simple forms.

Refine & Decorate: Explore "trimming" (shaping the bottom of your pots) and various surface decoration techniques to give your work a professional, unique touch.


The Finishing Touch: Wrap up the course by learning the art of glazing, ensuring your handcrafted pieces are both beautiful and food-safe.
