Rules & Points System 2018

The Kickr League is intended to develop riders towards competing indoors in a safe investment. The format of the league is as follows: Starting with an 25km Time Trial with a handicap system in place there will be 2 other courses , the Shop Spin and a Hill Climb. The 3 individual events count towards the individual league results .
The league is open to all ( bikes can be provide). Fair play is considered a must at all events.
The Rules must strictly be adhered to.
1. (male & female)under 30. Under 40,under 50,over 50.
2. You can bring your own bike (has to be 10 or 11 speed).
3. Limited 10 cyclists per session multiple sessions per day.
4. Cyclists can use their own Hart rate straps and cadence or we can provide.
1. A handicap system will be in place. The aim of the H/cap is for all taking part a chance to win. Handicaps will be at the discretion of the handicapper who will apply a seeding to all the participating. Points are awarded for the top 10 in each handicapped course. Handicapping is at the discretion of the organisers.
2. There will be 3 courses with points for the top 10. A bonus 10pts will be awarded to the winner of the following groups; over 50 under 20, if they are not in the top 10 but are inside the top 20 finishers.
3. Double points can be awarded for one of the 3 course .
4. Cyclists can come in and train on the course before the event plus if you don’t know your watts per kg we are offering you a FTP test to find out only people who have signed up can avail of this.
25km Time Trial / Shop Spin/Hill Climb
The 25km Time Trial, Shop Spin and Hill Climb will be handicapped by watts per kg . The top ten in each category score points as detailed below.
Joint scores on the leader board will result in the rider with the faster TT being higher placed. In the event of equal TT times, Hill Climb time will decide placing.

The points awarded to riders finishing in the top ten in each round will be used for the calculation of the Club competition. Clubs also score points in the 3 courses, as above. The Club with the highest points total at the end of the league wins the Waterford Kickr league ‘Club Prize’ perpetual cup.
Lady’s League if required
The top 5 ladies score the following in each course : 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1 points respectively. We can hold a separate ladies only road race if required . The number of ladies present at each race will determine the points available e.g. 1 lady present equals one point available.

Prizes/ Photos
The first 3 across the line at each course must present themselves for a podium photo at each event presentation. The leading table and overall points will be posted in Kickr Sessions FB Page

Rules of the League
1. Sign on for individual courses will close 15 minutes before the start. Riders who fail to
sign on will not be refuned entry.
2, Riders must wear their own club or team jersey or a plain jersey.
3. Tri bars and Tri bikes are allowed.
4. Handicap committee decision is final, no debating on the start.
5. €40 entry fee for the 3 courses paid before competition starts or €20 entry fee
per round. It is recommended that if a person intends to race the league that they sign up online (Kickr session “League” FB page).
6. The league will be held in Waterford Cycle Centre, Bailey New Street,Waterford . and all competitors must obey the rules. Riders found to be breaking these rules or riding in a dangerous manner will be subject to penalty, which may include disqualification from an individual event or from the entire series. Decisions made on this matter will be made by the organisers and are final. Riders must obey instructions.
7. Earphones, iPods, MP3 players etc. are allow in all events.
8. The organisation of their league will provide venue, changing facilities,Toilets.

Prize presentation will take place at the Waterford Cycle Centre.
