Birding Across Michigan
“Birding” is getting outdoors to see and learn about birds. This presentation uses photos, videos, and audio to explain the joy of birding. That joy can be the excitement that comes when seeking out and finding a specific bird or going to an interesting habitat to see what birds are there.
The presentation lays out a strategy for birding the Great Lake State. Each season brings different birds to be seen. Along the way we will see some of Michigan’s beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Greg Bodker has been a serious birder since 2006, combining his interest in birds, nature, and photography as often as possible. He has birded in all 83 Michigan counties and knows where the “hotspots” are to see birds throughout the state.
Greg has led birding trips for Michigan Audubon and was on its Board of Directors for three years. Currently, he enjoys delivering birding and nature presentations to audiences throughout Michigan. Greg saw his 600th North American bird species while birding in Arizona in 2018. Greg was also named a winner in Michigan Nature Association’s 2018 photo contest.
