GENTLE YOGA

Want to try a yoga class and not sure if you fit in? Or maybe you practiced yoga and have fallen out of the habit. The Waterbury Public Library is offering up Gentle Yoga classes on Saturday mornings in the Steele Room through April 25th. (Note: on February 28, the class will take place in the SAL Room.) Class time runs from 10:30 to 11:45 AM.
This slow-paced and accessible practice led by yoga teacher Erica Antell, offers gentle movement through foundational and restorative poses. Meditation and breathwork to encourage mind-body awareness and stress reduction will also be included. Drop-ins and all levels are welcome from those brand-new to yoga to seasoned practitioners. Please bring your own yoga mat and any additional props such as yoga blocks or thin blankets are encouraged.
About Erica Antell: Erica has been practicing yoga for twenty years and received her Yoga teacher Certification (RYT 200) from Laughing River Yoga (Burlington, VT) in 2020. She works as an Education Manager for the American Red Cross and recently moved to the Waterbury area with her partner and their beloved senior dog.
