From here we head out into the Cambridgeshire fens this area is noted for large open fields with skies to match.We may be lucky and see large flocks of birds migrating south. Following footpaths weaving between the drainange ditches we come to the wooded grounds of Angelsey abbey. We Pass Lode mill once a busy mill now beautifully restored. On leaving the grounds of the abbey we now head south across the fens before we meet the River Cam. From here we follow the river all the way into the heart of the city. We first come to Midsummer common a large open area of land in the city were people enjoying some outdoor space do so along side grazing Cattle. Its now a short walk until we reach the heart of the city and the towering colleges and the famous backs .Cambridge will be dressed in all its Christmas lights And the stunning Christmas market will be held in Parkers Piece.
