Writers at any stage of a novel or fiction project are welcome - whether you're 20,000 words in and stuck, staring at a blank page and an idea, or polishing a draft that needs an outside eye.You will leave with some key things in place – your cast, a stronger plot, a writing plan and two clear days to make real progress on it. Part of a beautifully converted listed barn from 1805 that offers a unique blend of 19th-century charm and modern comfort. It has a large walk-in shower bathroom.Coach Cottage 1 x bedroom, a charming one-bedroom retreat nestled on the first floor of our historic listed barn built in 1805House –Three comfortable double rooms on the first floor named Church Room or River Room. Sarah had a life-altering near-death experience herself where she was in a coma for three weeks. Her story has become a book Love & Above: A journey into shamanism, coma and joy. She is a former financial and magazine journalist writing for titles such as Marie Claire, The Guardian, Cosmopolitan and Psychologies UK. Check-out is after breakfast on the last day at 9:00 AM.How do I get to the retreat venue?You will fly to Toulouse (1 hour away) or if you are coming from the UK you may fly Ryanair into Carcassonne (15 mins away). ​You can also find your way to Carcassonne and we will transfer you from there. We will collect you from one of the two airports and transfer you to the centre.What’s the weather like in early October?The weather is usually sunny and pleasant. You can expect average highs of 21°C / 70°F during the day that drop to around 9°C / 48°F at night. However, in recent years, temperatures have varied unpredictably. We recommend you check the weather yourself before your departure and pack accordingly.Can I do laundry while on the retreat?Laundry facilities are available at the retreat venue and you are welcome to use them for free during your stay.What supplies do I need for the retreat?A list of materials recommended by Sarah Bullen will be providedHow many people are expected at the retreat?Maximum of 8 participants.Is Wi-Fi available?Yes.
