He holds a PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid, awarded cum laude, as well as degrees in Advertising and Publishing.He is the author of fifteen books across genres, including major essays such as When Einstein Met Kafka: Jewish Contributions to the Modern World (2019, Spanish edition) and En el vientre de la ballena. Ensayo sobre la cultura (2022), widely reviewed in leading Spanish cultural media. In the United States, he published the bilingual poetry collection Ni una poesía sin día — Not a Poem Without a Day (Artepoetica Press, New York, 2023). His most recent work, Más grande que la vida. Escritos sobre cine 2000–2025 (2025), gathers twenty-five years of his writings on film.A noted cultural critic and film historian, Moldes has lectured at institutions such as the Instituto Cervantes and the Biblioteca Nacional de España, and has taught Film and Literature at Antonio de Nebrija University.
