Take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level with this focused two-week workshop all about creating lidded jars!
In Week 1, you’ll learn how to throw both the base vessel and a fitted lid on the pottery wheel. We’ll go over tips for getting the right proportions, achieving a snug fit, and experimenting with different lid styles.
In Week 2, you’ll return to trim, refine, and decorate your jars and lids. We’ll cover techniques for clean, balanced trimming and explore creative surface decoration ideas to make your jar truly one of a kind.
This class is perfect for students who already have some wheel-throwing experience and are ready to expand their skills.

Clay and materials for one finished lidded jar
Option to purchase and create additional jars during class
