TIME LOVES A HERO: A TRIBUTE TO LITTLE FEAT
PERFORMANCES BY: ERIC SCOTT, PATTY REESE, TOMMY LEPSON, BILL STARKS, BRIAN SIMMS, CHUCK UNDERWOOD, PAUL BELL, CHUCK SULLIVAN, MATT SPIELMAN, TOM FRIDRICH & RYAN MORAN
Little Feat has been one of the worlds’ greatest and most unique bands since Lowell George and Bill Payne formed the group as the 1970’s dawned. Offering up their unique sound comprising rock & roll, funk, rhythm & blues, folk and soul, all poured into a New Orleans gumbo, Little Feat established itself as a powerhouse live act second to none. They released eight classic albums between 1971-78. Songs like Oh Atlanta Dixie Chicken, Feats Don’t Fail Me Now, Rock & Roll Doctor, Willin’, Fat Man in the Bathtub & Easy To Slip blasted out over FM radio airwaves, locally courtesy of WHFS radio, one of their earliest and strongest supporters. The DC area loves Little Feat and this show featuring some of DC’s finest performers will be a celebration of that love.
Newmyer Flyer is the second concert production company from BandHouse Gigs co-founder Ron Newmyer. Featuring the best singers and musicians in the D.C. area to honor music legends, classic albums and eras, previous Newmyer Flyer shows have included tributes to The Last Waltz, Laurel Canyon, Jimi Hendrix & Janis Joplin, Burt Bacharach & Hal David, & Joni Mitchell & Bob Dylan among many others.
For any wheelchair or ADA needs, please contact the Box Office in advance of the performance at (202)-787-1000.
