If you are a fan of live theatre in Washington DC, then you must catch the Tony Award-winning play, Dear Evan Hansen. The dark comedy portrays the misunderstood youth of today in a touching and poignant manner and is one of the best plays of the past few years. Another classic Washington DC Broadway show includes Hello Dolly! The play has the legendary Bette Midler in the lead role, and after a successful revival on primetime broadway, you can catch it again in the city.

Washington DC Theater - Where To Catch Live Events

Washington is also home to some awe-inspiring centers, including the Kennedy Center amongst others. There are also other places where you can catch some rib-tickling comedy events. The Washington Improv Theatre is a great place to witness the best comedians make up stuff on the spot, often to hilarious situations.

Washington’s performing arts theatre include the likes of the National Theatre DC, which features classic plays such as the School of Rock. For a piece of history, you can head over to the Ford’s Theatre, which is also known as the venue where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. However, the massive theatre hosts a wide gamut of some of the best American plays in history and is considered a historical venue for theatre lovers.

There are plenty of dinner theatres in DC as well. For someone looking for a slice of fun, the Medieval Style Dinner Tournament allows you to dress up from times of yore and witness many Medieval-styled events and activities, specially planned out for you.
