Mira is a rare kind of DJ whose sound instantly draws listeners into a world of deep curiosity, sensual groove, and hypnotic flow. Born in East Germany to a photographer and a classical musician, she began DJing in 1996 and quickly became a central force in the underground techno scenes of Leipzig and Halle/Saale. Her instinctive musicality and dedication helped shape Eastern Germany’s electronic landscape before her move to Berlin in 2006, where she found her artistic home at the legendary Bar25 and later Kater Blau (now Kater).

It was in Berlin that Mira rose to international prominence, becoming a defining figure of a sound that would travel far beyond the city’s borders. Her deep, soulful, and continuously flowing sets became synonymous with long, unforgettable nights, while her iconic three-day annual birthday celebration, “Katzen Tanzen auf’m Tisch”, emerged as a cornerstone of the scene—spotlighting both close collaborators and future global talents. Alongside these events, her “Mira Invites” series further cemented her reputation for refined curation and community-driven experiences.

In recent years, Mira has expanded her influence as a label curator for Kiosk I.D., championing emerging artists and fostering the next generation of producers. With the launch of a new record label and the evolution of “Mira Invites” into an immersive event series in 2025, she continues to prioritize authenticity, inclusivity, and music-first spaces. Whether collaborating in the studio with Christopher Schwarzwälder or commanding dancefloors worldwide, Mira remains driven purely by her love for music—constantly evolving, inspiring, and sharing that passion with every audience she touches.
