Celebrate your reading success!
Join us for a fun-filled celebration at our Summer Reading Prize Party! Enjoy face painting, balloon sculptures, Reading to Dogs, and more! We'll announce the grand prize winners, branch prize winners, and ticket drawing winners of our summer reading challenges. Winners will be able to pick up their prizes during the event* or the following week at their home branches.
It's a perfect way to wrap up the summer with joy and excitement!
* Branch prizes will NOT be distributed during this event. Winners will be announced, but those prizes must be picked up at the branch.
Event Schedule
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - 📖 Reading to Dogs 🐶 - Meeting Room. Reading times and locations are assigned. Pick up a Reading to Dogs Fast Pass at the circulation desk (while supplies last) to secure your spot.
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm - 🎈 The Unique Twist 🎈 - Young Adult Study Area. Balloon Doug is back with his wonderful balloons and terrible jokes! One balloon sculpture per person (ages 3+), please.
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm - 🍧 Kona Ice 🍧 - Front Sidewalk. Get your coupon for a free Kona Ice at the circulation desk! One per person, please.
12:00 pm - 2:30 pm - ✨ Expressions Body Art ✨ - Study Room A. Get your face or body painted! Designs range from something small, like a flower or soccer ball, all the way up to a full face, so you can turn yourself into a tiger if you want!
2:15 pm - 3:00 pm - 🏆 Prize Announcements 🏆 - Circulation Desk. We will announce the winners, and if you are here, you can claim your prize immediately! Any prizes not picked up on Saturday will be sent to the reader's home branch for pickup beginning on Monday, August 4th.
If we reach our Community Reading Goal of 1,000,000 minutes, Miss Sam and Dawn are headed for the Dunk Tank!
