# Event Details - **Event Name**: Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Friday, October 9th Strange Boutique + Cemetary Sex + DJ Sara Vox 8:00 - All Ages STRANGE BOUTIQUE Washington, DC https://strangeboutique.bandcamp.com/ Strange Boutique rose from the ashes of the DC punk scene surging with the energy of a new burgeoning post-punk scene while embracing an unexpected sense of melody, texture and a bit of mystical color. The group released 3 albums of guitar driven ethereal pop with a touch of mystical imagination and was a fixture of the Washington DC club scene from 1987-1993, … shows were a veritable gathering of DC’s misfits, freaks, goths, punks, scenesters and dreamers. A pair of reunion shows in 2004 and 2019, a dedicated following that never forgot and Monica Richards’ success in beloved goth act Faith and the Muse kept interest in the band alive. An unexpected viral explosion of their song “Drown” exposed millions of new listeners to a once 'best kept secret', introducing a new generation to the band’s expansive, ethereal world. With an acclaimed new album, Let the Lonely Heart Sing, the group continues a run of captivating live shows with a hometown date at Black Cat with DC veteran Gregg Hudson on the drums."Strange Boutique carved out a niche where gothic elegance danced feverishly with angular post-punk vigor. An enduring voice in America’s Gothic realm. Now, the core trio of Monica Richards, bassist Steve Willett, and guitarist Dennis Kane announce the release of a splendid new album, Let The Lonely Heart Sing." - Post-Punk.com "Let the Lonely Heart Sing is a stunning new chapter that captures everything that made the band beloved while moving confidently forward. The album shimmers with gothic romanticism, intricate guitar lines, and Monica Richards’ unmistakable voice, which remains a rare force, haunting, warm, and otherworldly. Dennis Kane’s guitars glow with spectral textures, Willett’s chorus-drenched bass is once again instantly recognizable. Themes of lost time, longing, wonder, and the persistence of hope weave through the record, giving it both weight and lightness." - Music Crowns CEMETERY SEX Washington, DC https://cemeterysex.bandcamp.com/ DJ SARA VOX Washington, DC Purchase Tickets: https://www.etix.com/ticket/servlet/s/38224554 - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/washington/strange-boutique-cemetery-sex-dj-sara-vox-at-black-cat/200030396161744 - **Event Categories**: music, entertainment - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 8 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Washington - **state**: DC - **country**: United States - **location**: 1811 14th Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009-4425 - **lat**: 38.91458 - **long**: -77.03155 - **full address**: 1811 14th Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009-4425, 1811 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009-4425, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/342d1e48e15f77b68c4f062cbc4aa958695f81860b5ef638b22a388c6a0637c9-rimg-w1200-h960-dc080808-gmir?v=1787311262 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat being held? - **A:** Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat takes place on Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm to Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm at 1811 14th Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009-4425, 1811 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009-4425, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat? - **A:** Strange Boutique, Cemetery Sex, DJ Sara Vox at Black Cat is organized by Black Cat DC. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
