We wanted to create a space where rest and reflection allow us to dream of a better future. And with 2026 being the Year of the Fire Horse, we know many of us are moving and carrying more than we say out loud. But a horse that never gets to stop eventually breaks down, and we do not want to run empty in the name of the cause.That's why we'll focus on rest, resilience, embodiment, and sustainable movement work. It is how we sustain ourselves, our communities, and the work for the long term.ABOUT THE CO-HOSTSYoo-Jin Kang, MPH (she/her) is a queer Korean American facilitator, astrologer, and the founder of Yoo-Jin Kang Consulting, a healing-centered leadership and organizational development practice that partners with individuals, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to build resilient leaders, healthier teams, and more equitable workplaces. Her work is grounded in the belief that sustainable movements require sustainable people and that tending to our nervous systems is essential to creating lasting change. At Soft Landing, she will guide participants through grounding practices, gentle movement, mindfulness, and somatic reflection, offering practical tools for staying rooted, resourced, and connected while navigating seasons of uncertainty and change.Arianna Dela Rosa M.Ed is the founder of Empower First Coaching, where she provides trauma-informed empowerment coaching to first-generation and BIPOC individuals. She came into this work believing that liberation is both structural and personal, that you can't organize for a freer world while running yourself into the ground, and that tending to our inner lives is not a distraction from the movement but part of how it survives. She has led workshops for organizations across education, non-profit, and law, helping first-generation and BIPOC changemakers grow in their leadership with a regulated nervous system.
