He has established a successful international career from his current base in New York City, where he is the founder and artistic director of Porto Pianofest, an annual international music festival in Portugal. Building upon the success of its Summer edition, the festival presents annual events in New York, Washington DC, Madrid, and Paris.As a soloist, he performed with several orchestras worldwide, recorded for labels and classical radios in Portugal and Spain, and is a founding member of Atlantic Collective.He performed in some of the most renowned music halls, including Carnegie Hall, two tours in China; masterclasses in Portugal, Spain, Serbia, Myanmar, China, and the US.Nuno Marques is Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from Rutgers University and a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Royal College of Music, London.He is currently a pianist at the prestigious American Ballet Theatre, and a guest pianist at NYC Ballet.
