My New Year's Resolution is to Fight Racism
Interested in dismantling racism in our communities? Want to learn more about countering the impacts of systemic racism and bias?
Join YWCA National Capital Area for a dinner and dialouge to explore how racism functions in our lives (and the lives of our neighbors) and then start to learn the tools we can use to combat racism each day.
Following a community dinner, our facilitator will lead us in a series of discussions and exercises to better understand the subtle ways racism appears in our everyday lives (and the not-so subtle ways). Learn from your neighbors, share with your community, and gain some tools in the fight to end racism.
This workshop is part of a series of activities YWCA National Capital Area plans for this year - for community dialouge, education, and to empower each of us to take an active role in dismantling racism.
Come one, come all - this event is youth-friendly!
There is no cost to attend but you must RSVP - we look forward to having you at our table!
