The State Preparedness Training Center (SPTC) is pleased to release the invitation and registration information for the fourth annual Canine Week. This event will be conducted on April 29-May 3, 2024, in Oriskany. Canine Week will bring together 50 Explosive Detection Canine (EDC) Teams from across New York State to participate in handson training based on the current threat environment.

This year’s Canine Week will feature a new progressive approach to training, with arrival on April 29, core skills lanes on April 30, advanced skills lanes on May 1, and scenarios on May 2. On May 3, instructors and participants will work together to hotwash this year’s approach and to make recommendations to improve this training in 2025.
