In 1983, she co-founded Flamenco Vivo with Roberto Lorca; following his death from AIDS in 1987, she was determined to continue their work. The Company has just celebrated its 40th Anniversary of presenting, touring and arts-education programs.Francisco Orozco "Yiyi" born in Barcelona to an Andalusian family, was introduced to flamenco rhythms at age four. Trained by his father, flamenco singer “Joselón de Jerez,” at the Spanish Peña Fosforito, he was considered a child prodigy in percussion and began his professional career at twelve. By seventeen, after recording his first CD, he focused increasingly on singing for dance and moved to Germany under contract with Flamenco Rubio. Since then, he has performed throughout Europe, Japan, the United States, Taiwan, and Venezuela with companies including Compañía Flamenca Alhama, María Benitez’s Teatro Flamenco, Jose Greco II, and guitarist Serranito. He has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Jesús Carmona, María Serrano, and Antonio Granjero. Critics worldwide describe Yiyi’s performances as fiery and riveting, praising his electrifying presence and virtuosic rhythmic precision.Juan Pedro, born in Cádiz, grew up on stage with the Romeros de Vejer gypsy family. Singer and guitarist, he studied music at the Royal Conservatory, and with the Flamenco singers Calixto Sánchez, José Anillo, Ismael Fernández, and guitarists such as Víctor Rosa, Tito Alcedo among others. He has worked with great artists such as Toñi Romero, Susana Romero, and Ana Polanco. Recently, he has shared the stage with Javier Heredia, Raquel Heredia, Auxi Fernández and Raúl Ortega. He has accompanied the great teacher of Flamenco dance Carmen Cornejo from Cádiz. Today, he collaborates with local Flamenco artists and with different companies throughout the United States. In recent years, he has toured the fairs of Seville, Jerez, El Puerto de Santa María, Sanlúcar, Algeciras and Córdoba. He performed in El Rocío with the Hermandad de Jerez. His passion and dedication to Flamenco make him a vibrant reference, taking Andalusian art around the world.Ricardo Sanchez "Ricardito" is a Flamenco guitarist, composer and educator born in Jalisco, Mexico and based in New York City. He has been a performer and a Musical Director with world-renowned artists such: Juan Gabriel, Emanuel, José Mora, Alvera De León, Susana Harp, among others. Ricardo has also composed, directed and performed with several musical projects in major flamenco and music festivals across the Americas, including the 2° Encuentro de Arte Flamenco de América, Festival Internacional Cervantino “Flor Andaluza Raíz Guerrerense” (Mexico), Canada’s Virtual Victoria Flamenco Festival, Vancouver International Flamenco Festival, Expolatino, Contemporary Dance Festival “Fluid Fest”, as well as Chile’s 1° Festival Internacional de flamenco “Sur Jondo”, and the Flamencos por América Tours throughout Latin America. Deeply committed to educating the next generation of flamenco guitarists, Ricardo leads workshops and classes focused on both artistic development and technical mastery. https://flamencoguitar.us/Irene Lozano "La Chiqui” a dancer, began her formal training at age 11 at the Ateneo de Música y Danza Conservatory in Málaga and completed it at the Málaga Professional Dance Conservatory. In 2009, she graduated with a degree in Choreography, specializing in Flamenco, from the Málaga Higher Conservatory of Dance. She has studied with Susana Lupiañez (La Lupi), Rocío Molina, Juana Amaya, Matilde Coral, Antonio Canales, Marco Flores, and others. Her career has been marked by her participation in renowned Spanish companies. Her career as a dancer has also been accompanied by numerous awards, including the Desplante Award at the 2022 La Unión Festival, where she was considered the best flamenco dancer. Since 2013, "La Chiqui," as she is known in the dance world, has led her own company. Her latest creation, PRESENTE, premiered at the 2024 Jerez Festival. Irene also founded her own school in Miami. Her passion for teaching takes her all over the world.Elisabet Torras is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Barcelona, Spain, where she earned her B.A. in Flamenco and Spanish Dance from the Conservatory of Dance and Theater. She has been a featured performer at the Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Detroit Opera Theatre, BAM, the Carolina Theatre of Durham, Central Park SummerStage, and The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, among many other stages. Elisabet choreographed the conceptual multimedia production Las Sinsombrero Flamenco, presented at Thalia Spanish Theatre in New York. She starred in the lead role of the award-winning short film Paloma, directed by Sophia Conger. As an educator, Elisabet has lectured in flamenco, Spanish classical dance, and castanets in Barcelona, Madrid, and Moscow. She a teaching artist for the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera, Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater in Chicago, and Ballet Hispánico in New York City.
