Exploring Supported Decision Making
This is a one-day conference co-sponsored by the DC Department of Aging and Community Living and UDC David A. Clarke School of Law. The conference is for social workers, case managers, advocates and other professionals who work with vulnerable adults to explore supported decision making and least restrictive environments.
Conference objectives include:
1. Define the term Supported Decision Making (SDM)
2. Understand the history of SDM
3. Identify the circumstances in which SDM is the most appropriate choice in your own clinical practice
4. Identify the least restrictive environment in the implementation of services using SDM as a framework
What are the transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Street parking is limited. Van Ness- UDC Metro Station (red line) is a short walk from the event. Public parking garages are nearby: 4455 Connecticut Ave NW and 3050 Veazey Terrace NW

How many CEUs are provided?
Six (6) CEUs for social workers only will be provided. CE Certificates will be provided at the conclusion of the training.
