# Event Details - **Event Name**: Earth Day: Community Tree Planting at Mount Olivet Cemetery - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 22 Apr, 2026 at 08:00 am – Wed, 22 Apr, 2026 at 12:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Join Casey Trees as we partner with HITT to celebrate Earth Day and plant trees at Mount Olivet Cemetery!About this EventYou provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to plant the trees. Participants will receive a hands-on training on site. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will be split up into groups supervised by a trained volunteer Team Leader and begin planting trees throughout the space.Register now! Before the event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site.RequirementsRegister: Register in advance. Space is limited. If your plans change prior to the event, please update your registration status so we are sure to have the necessary number of volunteers.Waiver: All volunteers must pre-register and sign a completed volunteer waiver form BEFORE participating in the tree planting event.Arrival: Please arrive on time. Check-in is open from 8:00am to 8:30am. All volunteers must be present for the tool safety demonstration at 8:30am.Youth Volunteers: Youth volunteers may participate with an adult supervisor.Clothes: Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. We recommend long pants and other protections for sun, bugs and poison ivy.Shoes: Close-toed shoes required, boots are preferred over sneakers.Skills: No specific skills or tools required. Each event starts with a tool safety and planting demonstration. Volunteers work alongside experienced Team Leaders and staff.Water: Bring a full water bottle! Water will be available on site if needed.Animals: No animals are allowed into the event, except for service animals.Restrooms: Restrooms will be available on-site.What to expect on site:8:00am - Check in opens & light breakfast served8:30am - Mandatory tool safety demo9:00am - Planting begins, at which time volunteers will be split into planting teams, each lead by a Team Leader.
