Scenic Overlook
In the rock evolution of their acoustic songwriting, Jared Jacknow, DC based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is joined by a rhythm section of fellow DC mainstays Massimo Zaru-Roque and Asia Jones and with Alexia Kauffman lending her talents on Cello.
The music of Scenic Overlook is inspired by a genrequeer throng of artists ranging from singer-songwriter/folk and blues, through British Invasion rock and 90s-00s grunge, emo and alternative music.
Dorinda
A band named after singer songwriter Reid Williams' mom who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Dorinda mixes over the top 2000s adult contemporary music you’d hear in your mom’s suv on the way to soccer practice with more experimental/heavier influences.
Jem Wilde
Jem Wilde is a singer-songwriter and artist whose indie folk-rock songs showcase tender but vibrant melodies and a dedication to poetic honesty. His songs explore subjects from queer identity to trauma and catharsis, and fearlessly embrace confession.
Jem’s multidisciplinary background as a classically-trained dancer and poet has shaped his artistic perspective and ability to stand on one leg. Inspired by everyday magic, he is committed to storytelling in color and giving breath to the unheard. Jem and his unique sound have been deemed “ethereal,” “warm,” and like “a breath of fresh air,” drawing comparisons to artists like Lucy Dacus, Soccer Mommy, and Phoebe Bridgers.
Jem also loves bees and has been known to befriend them.
