Anger Is Beautiful—How to Stay Angry

Join Lady Parts Justice League and the Eaton Workshop for a screening of the documentary She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry and a conversation with Lady Parts Justice League founder Lizz Winstead, Jane Collective founder Heather Booth, and National LGBTQ Task Force Deputy Executive Director and Reproductive Justice leader Kierra Johnson.

Come for some popcorn, a glass of wine, and an amazing screening and conversation that looks back at touchtone moments in the abortion rights and feminist movements, and a look forward at where we need to go, with some of the amazing movement leaders who got us here! Lizz Winstead talks with fierce Jewish activists, and women of color leading reproductive justice movements, about the importance of the intersections of different backgrounds and passions for equality that are crucial for a robust and badass movement to thrive.

Suggested donation $10 -- RSVP on Eventbrite!
Friday, Jan. 18th at Eaton DC Hotel Cinema Room
6-9PM

About:

Lady Parts Justice League ( https://ladypartsjusticeleague.com/) is a coven of hilarious badass feminists who use humor and pop culture to expose the haters fighting against reproductive rights.

Eaton Workshop ( https://www.eatonworkshop.com/) is a global purpose-driven company and creative lab at the intersection of culture, media, hospitality, wellness, and progressive social change. Founded by Katherine Lo, whose vision is to reimagine a hotel as an inclusive gathering place for changemakers and creatives, Eaton consists of distinct parts—Hotel, House, Media, Wellness, and Impact. Collectively, the pillars serve as an incubator for arts and culture, a beacon for sustainability, a hub for impact initiatives, a holistic healing center, and a global media presence. Eaton’s first properties are now open in Downtown, Washington, D.C., and Hong Kong’s Jordan neighborhood, with ensuing locations to arrive in San Francisco, Seattle, and Toronto in the future. | Instagram: @EatonWorkshop
