1. This tournament is open to ALL Peoria River City USBC members. Bowlers must also be in good standing with USBC to participate as this event is USBC certified. Memberships can be purchased at the tournament.
2. Entry fee for this event will be $30 per event; $11.00 lineage, $1.75 expenses, and $17.25 prize fund. All prize fund fees are returned 100%. There is an optional All-Events for an additional $10. All-Events is the FIRST series you bowl in each event. THIS MUST BE DECLARED PRIOR TO THE FIRST EVENT YOU BOWL.
3. Multiple participation is allowed and encouraged in all divisions. However, you may only cash ONCE with the same partner. To cash with multiple teams, you must change at least two bowlers. You may only cash once in singles. At least one award will be given for every 4 entries in each event and division. All prize funds shall be distributed within thirty (30) days following the close of the tournament.
4. All entries need to be checked in and paid at least 15 minutes before the squad starts. Walk in entries will be allowed but need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the squad. All squads will begin on time barring failures beyond PRCUSBC control. Bowlers will be given ten (10) minutes of practice beginning at the squad time start. A tardy bowler will receive a “0” for each frame missed.
5. Singles DOES NOT have to be bowled in the same squad as doubles. However, this must be indicated prior to the start of the squad. In similar, you cannot add singles to an ongoing squad after you’ve completed doubles, or vice versa.
6. This tournament will be conducted on a handicap and scratch basis. The handicap basis will be 90% of 225, based on the following average:
a. Highest USBC certified average (winter or summer) using bowl.com for the 2024-2025 season with a minimum of 21 games.
b. If (a) does not apply, a bowler will use their current USBC certified average, minimum 15 games, by providing a league standing sheet.
c. If neither (a) or (b) apply, the bowler will use a 225 average and bowl scratch.
d. Rule 319a, 319b, 319c and 319e WILL ALL apply. However, 319d and 319f will NOT apply.
e. All leagues that certify as “Sport” or “Challenge” by USBC shall be subject to average adjustment according to rule 202a-202e.
7. Divisions are as follows:
SINGLES:
A. 209 & Under Handicap
B. 210 & Over Scratch
DOUBLES:
A. 419 & Under Handicap
B. 420 & Over Scratch
TEAM:
A. 839 & Under Handicap
B. 840 & Over Scratch
*All-Events will follow the same divisions as singles
**Those who qualify to bowl in Division A may compete in Division B; however, they may not compete in both.
10. It is the responsibility of each bowler to check into the tournament office. During this check in, each bowler must verify their average. Failure to confirm their average could result in disqualification.
11. In the event of a tie, co-champions will be declared, and duplicate awards/prize money given.
12. Any appeal or protest concerning scoring errors MUST be made in writing and submitted to the Tournament Manager no later than twenty-four (24) hours after the game has been bowled. The tournament committee shall rule on an appeal or protest. Their decision shall be final EXCEPT when an appeal is made to USBC directly.
13. If at any point the bowler is unable to finish, they will be given zeros for all remaining frames/games, and no refund will be given.
14. All bowlers entering this event are expected to abide by USBC rules and policies. All decisions made by the Tournament Manager are FINAL. All other USBC rules apply.
15. The winner in each division in team event will receive a paid entry into the 2026 Illinois State Open Tournament at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, IL!
