- **Event Description**: Support Kingston, our rescued Irish sport Horse, and our other beloved furry, feathered and funny friends at Dream Catcher Meadows by coming out to Give A Hoot Comedy Club on December 19 & 20 for Patrick Garrity.

Our furry, feathered and fearless friends at Dream Catcher Meadows are getting a second chance at life.  No longer “beasts of burden,” “livestock,” or “raised for slaughter,” our gentle, loving sanctuary farm provides safety, support and veterinary care throughout their life stages.

Kingston was brought to Maryland from Ireland at the age of 4 to be a fox hunting horse. After a few years living at a small homestead farm in Howard County, MD - being ridden by a grown man chasing foxes through forests all over the DMV, he sustained a navicular injury to one of his feet and developed arthritis in another ankle.  He was brought to our sanctuary in the summer of 2021 at the age of 7 - permanently “lame.” 

Kingston’s vet care alone for recurrent cellulitis (from chronic inflammation of his arthritic leg) totals anywhere from $4000-$8000 annually.  Feed, hay, medication (a daily antiinflammatory separate from his intermittent cellulitis treatments), vaccinations, supplements & farrier services (hoof trimming) all adds up to about $600 every 4-6 weeks. 

We are currently running a #givingtuesday2025 #givingtuesday campaign through our facebook page on behalf of 7th Generation Foundation, Inc. - the 501c3 nonprofit that operates Dream Catcher Meadows. Like Kingston, Patrick is Irish.� He’s been on NBC & CBS Comedy Night School. Patrick tells energized stories about being in the military, growing up a younger brother & why Irish don’t trash talk. Patrick is a hilarious comedian with versatility & depth. His cutting edge comedy and impressions combined with a great sense of timing and wit make Patrick a must see comedian.
