We are pleased to invite you to join us for an exclusive FRIENDS fireside chat, featuring Billy Dec. In his recently released documentary Food Roots, Billy travelled across his mother’s native 7641 Islands of the Philippines to find his last living elders, to learn the recipes of his ancestors, uncovering family secrets and cultural treasures. In Food Roots, Billy travelled by plane, boat, jeepney, motorcycle and foot—from bustling cities to remote islands to mountain tops above the clouds—gaining a deeper understanding of his heritage and how food shaped his family’s story and identity.
