After a two-year hiatus, NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest is heading back on the road! Join us on Tuesday, May 24 at Songbyrd in D.C. for a one-of-a-kind concert with the 2022 Contest winner, Alisa Amador, plus some amazing Tiny Desk Contest artists in the DMV area —including last year's winner, NEFFY!

Thousands of unsigned bands and artists entered the Tiny Desk Contest in 2022. Our judges picked one winner who will get to perform behind the Tiny Desk at NPR’s headquarters, and we discovered many great musicians along the way. Now, we’re teaming up with our friends at State Farm and WAMU to bring the show to D.C.

Meet our winner: 
Hailing from Boston, Mass., Alisa Amador is a singer-songwriter with a powerful voice whose music explores jazz, funk and folk styles, all rooted in the spirit of the Latin music she grew up with. Amador impressed the Tiny Desk Contest judges with her tender performance of “Milonga accidental,” which she calls “an ode to in-between-ness – to having several identities at once, to feeling split between cultures and languages.”
