The Izaak Walton League  is providing a workshop for those who wish to become a certified VA SOS monitor and contribute their data to a nationwide water quality database and to the Chesapake Monitoring Cooperative. Learn more at vasos.org.In order to become a certified VA SOS Monitor, volunteers must:1 . Complete the online portion, including watching webinars and passing a macroinvertebrate identification quiz. This must be completed prior to this event.2 . Attend a field training session (this event!) to learn the collection protocols.3 .
