Featuring works from Victoria, Josquin and Bruckner, as well as traditional Advent favourites and carols.Founded in 2021, the Newman Schola has performed in both concert and lirturgical settings up and down the country, as well as releasing its first recording in 2024. Originally founded to be the regular accompiament to the ligurties of the Unviersity of Birmingham Catholic Chaplaincy (Newman House), the choir prides itself on its deep connection to the expression of the Catholic faith, in which the music it performs is rooted.The concert will last for approximately 1 hour. At the end of the concert there will be a retiring charity collection.
