During the workshop, we’ll be working with high-fire stoneware clay, known for its strength and durability. These aren’t delicate indoor decorations—your finished gnome will be weather-resistant and sturdy enough to live happily outdoors through the seasons, adding charm and character to your garden year-round.
I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process, from shaping and sculpting to adding those unique details that give each gnome its own personality. No two will be the same, and that’s part of the fun.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves art, nature, or simply getting their hands dirty in a creative way. Bring a friend, come solo, and leave with something truly special that you made yourself.

Pottery is a wonderful and creative experience, but it’s important to understand that there are no guarantees when working with clay.

Clay is a very unpredictable medium, and each piece goes through several stages—from forming and drying to glazing and kiln firing. At any point in this process, pieces can crack, warp, or break. This happens to everyone, even professional potters, who often expect to lose around 30% of their work during the process.

When you attend one of my workshops, the focus is on the experience of learning and working with clay, not just the finished product. My hope is that you enjoy the process, discover the unique qualities of the material, and have fun creating something with your own hands.

While a perfect finished piece cannot be guaranteed, a meaningful and enjoyable creative experience certainly is.
