W ramach 17. edycji LGBT+ Film Festival Poland zapraszamy na koncert, w którym pop zderza się z politycznym zaangażowaniem, a widownia staje się przestrzenią solidarności. 

Murad to Palestyński wokalista, songwriter i twórca wizualny. Tworzy muzykę pulsującą energią współczesnego popu i elektroniki, jednocześnie głęboko zakorzenioną w doświadczeniu dorastania na Zachodnim Brzegu. 

Jego twórczość to przede wszystkim opowieść o wolności również tej queerowej, doświadczeniu opresji i prawie do samostanowienia i swobody autoekspresji.  

To wyraźny głos w walce o Wolną Palestynę i sprzeciw wobec kolonijnej przemocy oraz okupacji Strefy Gazy. 

Murad wykorzystuje swoją sztukę jako narzędzie oporu, pamięci i zwiększania świadomości społecznej dotyczącej trwającego ludobójstwa. 

Artysta współpracował m.in. z Hatari, a jego utwory wybrzmiewały na scenach całego świata od Berlina po Oslo, Reykjavik czy Tokio. 

Był również współtwórcą utworu „Wild West”, który znalazł się w finale islandzkich preselekcji do Eurovision Song Contest 2024, zajmując drugie miejsce i znacząco zwiększając tym swoją rozpoznawalność na europejskiej scenie muzycznej.

Concert by Bashar Murad. The Palestinian star performs in Poland for the first time!
As part of the 17th edition of the LGBT+ Film Festival Poland, we invite you to a special evening where pop collides with political engagement, and the audience becomes a space of solidarity. 
Murad is a Palestinian vocalist, songwriter, and visual artist. He creates music pulsing with the energy of contemporary pop and electronic sounds, while remaining deeply rooted in the experience of growing up in the West Bank.

His work is, above all, a story about freedom, including queer freedom. The experience of oppression, and the right to self-determination. It is a clear voice in the struggle for a Free Palestine and an expression of opposition to colonial violence and the occupation of the Gaza Strip.

Murad uses his art as a tool of resistance, remembrance, and raising social awareness about the ongoing genocide.
The artist has collaborated with Hatari, among others, and his music has been performed on stages around the world, from Berlin to Oslo, Reykjavik, and Tokyo. He also co-created the track ‘Wild West’, which reached the final of Iceland’s Eurovision Song Contest 2024 pre-selection, taking second place and significantly increasing his recognition on the European music scene.
