Want to get more veggies in your life? Join us for a fun, hands-on cooking session where you’ll learn how to turn fresh garden produce into delicious veggie burgers the whole family will love!
Clare Vaughan and Di Pettigrew, with some trusty helpers, did an experimental cook up prior to the first Harfest. The result was some very tasty vegan veggie burgers. Clare then perfected the recipe and voila! Now is your chance to learn the recipe and techniques for some very popular veggie burgers which sold out at the first Harfest.
You’ll chop, mash, mix, and shape your own batch of hearty burgers packed with seasonal vegetables, herbs, and chickpeas. These burgers are thrifty, nutritious, and freezer-friendly too!
Each participant will take home two ready-to-cook or ready-to-freeze burgers, along with the recipe so you can easily make them again at home.
When: Thursday 12 March, 5:30-6:30pm
Where: HUB at Warrnambool Community Garden, corner of Grieve and Derby Street
What to bring: Apron, container for take-home burgers, and a big appetite!
This workshop is relaxed, social, and a great way to make the most of an abundant veggie harvest. Perfect for all skill levels, come along, cook together, and enjoy a taste of the garden!
