Discover the craft of teapot design with local ceramicist David Newquist (The Plains, VA). Known for his precise forms and crisp edges, David brings the same thoughtful approach he teaches in his raku workshops at The Workhouse to this focused, hands-on session at The Orchid.
What you’ll learn:
Building with slabs: planning templates and clean joins. Forming the body, spout, lid, and handle for balanced function and pour. Strategies for tight lid fit, strong attachments, and refined edges. Design decisions that marry utility and sculpture.
