About Big Pete
If you’ve ever been out on the town (or the ‘burbs) in the Newcastle area, you’ve probably seen, heard and bopped along to Pete de Jong, aka BigPete.

As the frontman, singer and guitarist for a stack of bands from the iconic HEROES to pub and club legends Django Wrango, The Heartfelt Rodneys and The Smarts, Big Pete has a distinctive voice and presence that’s rocked the town through thick and thin for decades.

Now he’s gone back to basics with a solo set that features stripped down versions of classic covers, personal faves and the odd original.
