This class, led by Alyssa, is an invitation to begin your day - and the season - with intention. We’ll flow at an easy, steady pace; building warmth, promoting muscle flexibility and strength, and supporting the nervous system with intentional breathwork and mindful transitions. Options and variations of poses will be offered throughout, making this class welcoming for beginners and experienced yogis alike. We’ll conclude our practice with a guided relaxation and meditation. After class, stay and enjoy a lavender-inspired treat and refreshing mocktail, wander the fields, and celebrate this special time on the farm. What to Bring: To ensure a comfortable experience upstairs in the barn, we recommend you bring the following: Your own yoga mat A blanket or cozy sweater Water Optional personal props such as blocks, straps, bolsters, or additional supports for under the knees Please note that we have a limited supply of mats, bolsters, and straps available in the barn studio that you are welcome to use if you do not own any gear! Class time: Saturday, June 6 from 8:30-9:30 am (arrival at 8:15) Cost: $25 per person Meet Your Teacher: Over her years of practice, Alyssa has immersed herself in different forms of asana, ranging from restorative and yin, to power vinyasa, as well as yoga philosophy, meditation, and breathwork. Through her classes, Alyssa hopes to inspire curiosity in her students, to encourage them to invite play and imperfection to their practice, and to honor their unique journey. This is Alyssa’s third season teaching at Pumpkin Blossom Farm. She also instructs classes at Sharing Yoga and Worthy Mind and Movement in Concord, NH, and offers courses at Bee Here NH, a yurt in Salisbury. When not teaching or practicing, Alyssa serves as the Community Relations Specialist for the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. In her role, she advocates for and amplifies the voices of victims and survivors of crime. Alyssa has helped facilitate successful donation-based yoga classes and other awareness efforts on behalf of the Coalition here at the farm since 2022.
