# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Sadie Mae’s Field Day: Porch Takeover & Movie Night.
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 17 Oct, 2026 at 12:00 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: 🐾 SADIE MAE IS TAKING OVER THE PORCH! 🐾

Management has reviewed her proposal. It was mostly “more friends, more attention, and absolutely no meetings,” so we’ve approved Sadie Mae’s Field Day for Saturday, October 17!

Come spend an easy fall afternoon with our Official Porch Greeter, then come back after dark for a free vintage Halloween movie night.

🍂 Noon–1 PM | Meet Sadie Mae
Porch visits, photos, and a chance for Sadie to see some of her brothers and sisters again! You’re welcome whether you bring a dog or just want to meet ours.

🎃 1 PM | Porch Pup Costume Parade
Dress up your pup for one very important stroll past the porch and a group photo. Silly, spooky, homemade, and “she only wore it for five seconds” costumes are all welcome.

🎶 1:30 PM | Live music with the New Byers Creek Band
Our friend Tommy Murphy has played on the porch with us before, and this time he’s bringing the band! Pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Sadie Mae will be taking her union-mandated nap before the evening show.

🎬 Around 7:15 PM | Porchlight Cinemas: Vintage Halloween Night
Come back for about an hour of playful old-fashioned cartoons and spooky comedies, including The Skeleton Dance, Felix the Cat, Buster Keaton, and a couple of haunted houses. Just enough Halloween spirit for the whole family!

Field Day, live music, and movie night are free. Bring a chair or blanket for the music and movie. Visiting dogs should be leashed, and the movie is a good time for our four-legged guests to head home and rest.
