In a tranquil community acupuncture setting, your treatment will be performed in a comfortable reclining chair in a shared setting, which fosters a sense of calm collective healing.  For current acupuncture patents, this is an opportunity for a seasonal tune-up.  For new patients, this is a gentle introduction to acupuncture.

Just as our surroundings have transformed with the weather, climate and temperature, our bodies, minds and spirits are also deeply affected by each passing season.  According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the calendar year is divided into 5 seasons: Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer and Late Summer. Each season is associated with specific organs, elements, emotions, and imbalances.

A seasonal acupuncture treatment is a both holistic and preventative and can help you to adjust to the changes and challenges that each season brings. Seasonal treatments can enhance the body’s ability to maintain equilibrium, prevent illness by supporting the immune system, help balance emotions and mental clarity, improve rest, reduce inflammation and support circulation.  Specifically, the Summer season symbolizes new beginnings, renewal and growth, however this can bring challenges as the body awakens from the cold winter’s stillness.  For the Spring season session, we will focus on the Wood element, liver and gallbladder organs, reduce stress and tension, and support movement and flexibility.

Please Note: For new patients to Metta Acupuncture and Wellness, consent forms will be sent out and will need to be signed electronically prior to treatment. Once you have completed your consent form, you will be asked to sign up for a time slot!
