Join Claudia Gosse from Elka Textiles for a full-day natural inks and paints workshop at her home studio in Mere, Wiltshire.

This relaxed, hands-on workshop introduces you to the art and science of extracting dyes and pigments from plant and mineral sources, transforming them into vibrant and environmentally friendly inks, watercolours and paints.

Over six hours of guided tuition, Claudia (a natural dyer and retired teacher) will show you how to extract, prepare and store natural colour from foraged and kitchen materials. You’ll experiment with creating your own palette of handmade inks and paints — perfect for artists, makers and nature lovers alike.

All materials and equipment are provided, including aprons, gloves and printed handouts for you to take home. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day — just bring along a packed lunch.

Spaces are limited to keep the group small and hands-on, so early booking is recommended.
