🎅🎄Santa & Friends 2025 "LIGHT UP WAPPINGER"🎄🎅

We are ready to get back at it!!! The RC Christmas Light Display is happy and excited to announce that Santa will be returning once again this Saturday, December 13th, from 5pm to 9pm with his friends!!!

Only this time........it's time to "LIGHT UP WAPPINGER"!!! We have finally remembered to enter ourselves this year into the great event that our Town of Wappingers hosts for our community, "LIGHT UP WAPPINGER".

As mentioned in our previous post this week, our goal is to get on the map so that you can come out and enjoy our festivities. "Santa & Friends" will have to fly back to the North Pole after Saturday, and just the display will be waiting for those coming out to see it Sunday, so don't miss out on the chance for a planned night of fun, laughs, and memories this Saturday. If we should win anything, to which we don't even know how that works 🤣, we will be donating / asking for it to be donated to St. Jude.

WE. JUST. WANT. TO. SEE. YOU!!!

With that, Santa will have his trusty reindeer "Rudolphski", his hard working Elf, the Grinch, Mrs. Klaus, and a few NEW SURPRISES ready to go once again this Saturday!!! As we did this past Saturday, Christmas music will be filling the air as "Santa & Friends" will be taking pictures with children and their families, collecting donations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, handing out candy canes, and collecting letters for Santa.

As mentioned, we will once again be collecting donations for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 100% of all proceeds will be given to St. Jude. We were able to raise $376.59 last Saturday.

With the upcoming event for this Friday, December 12th being in the books by this event (come see us Friday too!!!), and this event of Saturday, December 13th, our goal this year is to once again provide some holiday spirit, provide a memorable experience, and raise more money for the children and their families in need.

Please see the details below for this upcoming event for Saturday:

1. If you are planning on coming to visit us, please click the attend button so we can plan accordingly.

2. Santa & Friends will have a setup ready for pictures. We ask that you be patient, compassionate, and adhere to all directions given by Santa's helpers.

3. If you are planning on parking and coming to take pictures with Santa, we are at the end of a cul-de-sac; we ask that you use the available space within the cul-de-sac curbs, and if crowded, please use the extended road to park and walk down to us. There are those who will still be just driving through, so we ask that anyone, be it parking / driving through be mindful of all those within the area. Santa will have helpers directing. (As we can't control the amount of people at one time, we want to take all precautions. Team effort, patience, and compassion.)

***Please do not block any driveways on the street; please give the homeowners ample space to exit their driveways.***

**NEW**
(3A.) For any family, friends, and newcomers who might be coming to visit, but plan on staying and hanging out to have some fun with "Santa & Friends", we ask that you park to the RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AS IF LEAVING THE DISPLAY / EXITING TO RETURN TO DIDDELL, way up from the display, and walk down. We will also have a separate coned off area to the back end of the cul-de-sac for those who want to stay, chat, and enjoy the atmosphere. We want to be mindful to keep parking clear up front, as well as the waiting area for those little ones wanting to get pictures with Santa.

4. We will have a mailbox for children to drop off letters for Santa. If you are wanting a response from Santa, please include a stamped envelope with a return address along with your letter so Santa can write back. (As this is a work in progress, and Santa has no way of calculating exact numbers, please be patient, and know Santa is doing his best.)

5. PLEASE BE SURE TO TAG US IN YOUR PHOTOS AND POSTS!!!

As this continues to grow and develop, we ask that you please be patient and understanding. All involved are volunteering and doing the best they can to their ability to provide some holiday cheer, and provide a memorable experience for you and your families. Know that some of Santa's Friends could be missing throughout the events, and things can changes at times; in some cases, event dates could be cancelled and shifted. ("Santa & Friends" will be trying to avoid any of that from happening, but things happen.

At the end of the day, we are a team of "once we commit, we commit", but as mentioned, things can happen.)
