George Washington will be making a special trip to the DAR Van Bunschooten Museum on July 16 at 1pm, during the Christmas in July event, to enjoy ice cream sundaes with children and their families.  Santa will visit with the children and pose for photos.  There will also be a Christmas story time and a historical demonstration of how ice cream was made in the 1700s.  Children will also learn about 18th century Christmas traditions. Guest are welcome to come early or stay afterwards to enjoy the festivities of Christmas in July.  There will be complementary tours of the history house, re-enactors, food tent, bake sale, attic treasures and much more.  Christmas in July is held from 11am-4pm.  Sundaes and Stories with Santa will be held rain or shine, outside on the historic grounds of the DAR Van Bunschooten Museum.
