ODST Maths Leaders Network Meetings

Led by Maths consultant Nathan Crook these essential network meetings will allow Maths leaders in ODST schools to meet face to face, with discussion around current issues and best practice. This is a valuable CPD and networking opportunity, funded centrally by ODST.

This session will ensure that all subject leaders are fully up-to-date with any changes to the Maths curriculum and discuss key themes for the year ahead.

We expect that a Maths leader from each ODST school will attend each of the 3 scheduled network meetings.

• Monday 22nd September 2025, 1.15pm - 3.00pm - Autumn network meeting

The aims will be:

- To review 2024/25 MTC and end of Key Stage 2 assessment headlines with links to:

a) A focus on oracy to support end of Key Stage 2 assessment, including connections to the ‘Talk for Maths Benchmarks.’

b) Conceptual learning to support end of Key Stage 2 assessment, including use of a CPA approach.

- To develop familiarisation with the ‘Modelling the Maths Benchmarks’ publication – with a particular focus on agreeing a school‑wide set of manipulatives and planning for their purposeful us
