We bring our combined experience and skills to offer you embodied, nature-based and creative practices for you to reflect and gain deeper insight to your own personal process around mortality.With a small group of other professionals on the day, you will also have the opportunity to share experiences and reflections to better resource and inspire you.FOODWe want you to feel nourished by this day, so we will be providing a nutritious, plant based hot soup lunch prepared over the fire and all other refreshments will be provided too.COSYWinter is the ideal time to reflect on the natural cycle of death and we are delighted to be able to offer you this workshop at The Warren where we have access to a private woodland, outdoor fire area and a cosy, heated yurt. For many years they have worked in the south-west of England supporting people affected by cancer and other life-threatening conditions (most recently with a charity called, We Hear You) through their use of creative and ecological therapeutic interventions.Whilst at We Hear You, Peter offered dramatherapy to children, young people, and adults. In addition to this, Peter also facilitated the charity’s nature-based course, WHYoutdoors, a six-week programme for groups of people either living with and beyond cancer, or for those who were bereaved.Peter has also offered drama and eco-therapy in a variety of other settings. This has included supporting individuals and groups within the NHS adult mental health service, vulnerable children and young people in schools and care homes, and adults with complex learning disabilities. Peter also supervises counsellors and therapists across a variety of clinical settings."BARBARA GONZALEZBarbara is a counsellor and nature-based practitioner. She works in private practice offering creative therapy to adults, children and young people. She was formally a counsellor and the Nature-based Services Manager at cancer charity We Hear You where she designed, implemented and delivered services for people with cancer and the bereaved. She founded Better Nature Ecotherapy CIC in 2023 and is developing nature-based services across the Frome and Mendip area in partnership with NHS Primary Care. She is passionate about 'One Health' - aligning human and ecological wellbeing for resilience and sustainability. Barbara is on the Steering Group of the Nature and Health Practice Network across West of England and leads the special interest group for VCSE nature-based mental health and wellbeing services.Past participants :"A wonderful opportunity to immerse myself into thoughts on my practise using nature to guide and inform the process""Babs and Peter were generous and I felt held by them.
