Assumption Community Choir out of Walton Kentucky, will be performing Mozarts Requiem, on February 7th at 7:00pm EST. Location is still TBD as we have asked around a few places that would be willing to host the concert for us(waiting on answers from them still). We have been practicing very intensely since the third week in September. 

A little background history of this absolutely gorgeous historic piece: 

This was Mozarts very last and final work of musical art, as he didn’t get to finish composing it before he died. He was only able to complete 8 bars of the song “Lacrimosa”  before he passed away. The last words he had written in this piece are as follows: “Lacrimosa, dies illa. Qua resurget ex favilla, judicandus homo reus”. He was poisoned by the other famous but lesser known composer named Salieri out of jealousy. 

Now, I would love to keep going but I don’t need to write a 40 page book on this� 

I will update this post later with more information the closer we get to the concert, and when we get confirmation on where we will be having the concert. Please keep an eye out for it if you are interested! 

Dress code will be business casual or dress clothes if you have any. Please nothing super revealing or outrageous, as this is a classical concert and as in tradition, dressing in your nicest clothes is recommended!
