- **Event Description**: Join Conservation Nebraska and Prairie Pines for our Guided Hike Summer Series! Prairie Pines is known for its unique habitat formed from its historical use as a pine tree farm, but it isn't called "Prairie" Pines for nothing! For our July hike, we will focus on the prairie trails as we learn about some of the flora and fauna who call the prairie their home. 

This series is recommended for ages 8+, but is open to all ages. Make sure to dress accordingly with the weather for the day and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during our hike.

This series will be led by Cian Hassovic. Cian has been an AmeriCorps member serving with Conservation Nebraska since September 2023. Previously, she was the Education Manager at a sustainable urban agriculture nonprofit in Omaha, where she managed and led nature and gardening workshops for a variety of ages and backgrounds. She earned the title of Certified Nebraska Master Naturalist in February 2023 and has been a volunteer with Prairie Pines since April of the same year.
