Join self-taught artist Chantelle Watson, one of Surrey’s most talented artists, as she shares the stories behind her canvases. 

A heartfelt conversation about her creative journey of expressive contemporary landscape and seascape painting. 

With a deep spiritual connection to the natural world, Chantelle explores the raw beauty of ever-changing landscapes. Her work isn’t just about what she sees - it’s about what and how she feels. She paints with intuition, emotion, and a tactile connection to her materials, favouring palette knives and even her fingers to create raw, textured, soulful works that explore the emotional and spiritual bond we share with the land. Drawing inspiration from Aboriginal dot painting and the idea that we are all connected to the land, her art is movement, memory, and energy, translated through layers of paint.
