The course will;Help you understand more about mental health and suicide in WalsallIncrease your skills and confidence in having conversations about mental health and suicideEncourage you to engage with other services and networks in your community or workplaceWe limit the max course attendees but will be delivering a range of courses over the year, both online and in person, so please contact us if you would like information on future dates.The course will be delivered by a training professional from Birmingham Mind, who deliver a range of mental health training to over 2,000 people every year in the West Midlands.Key informationSession date and time;The course will be delivered Wednesday 10th June 9:30am-1pm (with a break included). Food will not be provided.Entry requirements:You must be over 18 and living or working in Walsall. This could include staff and leaders in local businesses, statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations.Content:This 3.5 hour course will give you;Increased awareness of Mental Health.Increased awareness of personal Wellbeing.Increased awareness of key suicide prevention strategies &amp; messaging.Once you register:You’ll receive an email confirmation with a welcome email also sent before the event with more information on the course.Access:The course is funded in partnership with Walsall Council, with no charge for you to attend.Venue:This course will be delivered at: Manor Farm Community Association, King George Crescent, Walsall, WS4 1EUThere will be future sessions delivered online should this be more a preferred option.More information:You can find out more information about Birmingham Mind on our website, or contact our team through training@birminghammind.org if you have any other questions.Walsall Charging - StatementThis is a free to attend course, however if you fail to attend without giving 48 hours’ notice then we will charge you for the cost of the place. Whilst we recognise that there are competing pressures on people’s time, this policy is to enable us to reach as many people as possible with the available funding and ensure that each course has the required number of people to be valuable for all attendees.Walsall Council and Birmingham Mind will reinvest any charges into delivering the aims and ambitions of this course.Failure to notify Birmingham Mind 48 hours in advance with a reason for being unable to attend will result in a £40 charge for non-attendance.
