3rd Annual Turtle Bayou Crappie Classic
Rules for 3rd Annual Turtle Bayou Crappie Classic Tournament

Entry $100/team

1. Teams – 2 man teams. If you wish to fish alone the team price still applies. Bank and Kayak team members must remain within eyesight of each other while fishing. Boat team members must fish in the same boat and be the only anglers in their respective boat.
2. Captains Meeting – At least one team member must be present at the Captains Meeting and remain until the meeting is dismissed. The Captains Meeting will be held Friday 3/6 6:00pm at Snappy’s Roadhouse.
3. Entry Fees/Refunds – $100 - All entries will be paid in full before the conclusion of the captains meeting. There will not be refunds in the event a team can’t fish the event after having paid their entry fee.
4. Weather – In the case of extreme weather Wac Attack Lures shall have the right to postpone or cancel the event and return all entry fees.
5. Fishing Hours – The fishing hours will be from 7AM until 2PM. Teams may be in the water but not fishing until 7AM.
6. Fishable Waters – Teams are allowed to fish Turtle Bayou, Whites Bayou and any waterways that connect to those bayous including Lake Anahuac. Teams will be allowed to fish from a boat, kayak or the bank as long as they are fishing these waters.
7. Baits – Live or artificial bait will be allowed.
8. Weigh in – The weigh in will be set up and open at 12PM and stay open until all teams have weighed in. Teams must be in line to weigh in no later than 2:30 PM. If a team is not in line for weigh in by 2:30 pm they will not be allowed to weigh in. Teams will only be allowed one weigh in.
9. Fish – Each team may weigh a total of 5 fish. All fish much be at least 10 inches in length. Any team trying to weigh a fish that is not of legal length will be disqualified. It is preferred that fish be weighed in alive and released post weigh in, this will be the choice of the team weighing in their fish. There will not be a penalty for weighing in dead fish.
10. Big Fish(Crappie) – $20 - Big fish entry will be optional and only one Big Fish entry per paid angler will be allowed. If one team member enters the Big Fish pot, then both team members must enter.
11. Final Weight – In the case of a final weight tie between teams, the big fish from each team will break the tie. A tie for the Big Fish side pot will result in splitting that pot.
12. Payouts – Payouts will be given after the event and after all teams have weighed in and weights have been recorded. Teams must be present to receive a payout. Payouts will pay the top 3 teams and one payout for Big Fish.
Payouts will be determined by the number of teams– 50% of all proceeds (including Big Fish Pot) will go to the AHS Bass Fishing Team.
